And, a Happy Mother's Day to all of you that care for or have cared for two legged humans, four legged non humans and I guess anything else that needed love, nurturing and care.
It's a difficult day for many people. I know I've written about this before. Some of us wanted to be mother's, some of us had motherhood thrust upon us, some of us tried and tried but it alluded us and some became mothers and never really got the hang of it.
To all females out there that have taken care of somebody or something, who have fed, rocked, wrapped in blankets, comforted, nursed, smiled at and loved somebody or some animal. I applaud you.
To all females out there that have tried, maybe not always done their best, maybe even completely screwed it up, I applaud you.
We arrived here without a handbook. We do the best we can. Sometimes we get help or have a mentor that can show us how to be better. Sometimes we are just winging it.
Whatever path you were on I hope it brought you more joy than pain. I hope that somewhere along the way you got a kiss, hug or lick that let you know that you were appreciated and loved.
Happy Mother's Day.
