3150 Studio Artists meet

Well, we always meet around lunch time and bring our lunches up to the studio.  These aren't your run of the mill sandwiches these ladies bring.  This one was hand crafted with layers all prepared, on site.
The next two pictures are some show and tell from the first three hints of our mystery project, the sewing of strip,s together.  Not nicely cut strips but wavy, thin, thick and sometimes "ugly" fabrics strips.
I think they are pretty cool.  We are getting hints at each meeting. Nobody, well except me, has a clue where this is all taking them.
We  covered a lot of general business for the New Year then I brought up some new business.  I asked the group how they would feel about doing some service work, as a group and then I tossed the little sleeping bunny monsters I had made. Well, of course, they fell in love with them. I showed them the other 14 patterns, the stack of fleece I had bought and before I could say anything more they were diving into the fabric, picking out their little monster to work on. I wish you could have seen the smile on my face.
You can see a stack of fleece that Pat pulled together to make her one or two little monsters. I can't wait to see the finished monsters.  You know I'll be posting pictures.

And, a note for Zeus, the ladies raved about how great the barn looked after all that cleaning you and I did. I think they were very relieved that they didn't have to follow the goat path from the door to the steps, anymore.

The weather people are gleefully telling us about the cold and snow coming by the end of the week. I understand it's their job but they seem to really get so much enjoyment out of it.  I know it's probably not a good thing that our temperature was up to 52 degrees today but I sure enjoyed it.  I know Zeus did.  He woke me up telling me that this was his HEYDAY, golf and tennis!  Be still my heart.
