That 24 hour mystery bug strikes again!

What to say, what to say........
Another holiday is over.
It's one I often refer to as a FOOD RELATED holiday. I made double of everything so we would have enough left overs. Then one by one we fell to the bedroom and bathrooms as we came down with a 24 hour bug. I still have the leftovers. No one felt like eating much of anything after the bug arrived.

Despite it's arrival Zeus, number one son and I had to start clearing out the cottage. The sale is in the final signing stages. The new owners excited to get busy tearing into the place so 22 years of collected junk needed to be removed.
We had a huge dumpster, HUGE, did I say that and managed to fill it. I made three trips back and forth to the house with my car filled with items that were in saleable shape, for the charity store. I still have to clean them up and drop them off. Probably going to take me all week to get that done.

I am not a hoarder but I am lazy about dealing with things that are broken, worn out, not used.
I often have great plans or ideas but then lack the time, energy to complete them.

I'm sore, tired and determined to start to de clutter again, in the new year. I know I've done it every year, room by room but the stuff keeps coming back or new stuff does. HOW, WHY, WHO'S RESPONSIBLE for this?

Zeus will point the finger, at me but while cleaning out the cottage we saw some of his "bright ideas" hit the dumpster.

So, this week, even though I LOoooooooooooooooooooooooooong to be in the studio, I will be putting my house back in order from company, cleaning items and making trips to the charity store and starting to de clutter when I can.

I will live through my blogging buddies posts about what they are doing and working on, in their studios.

  4. I LOVE purging. I loved moving from a house to a townhouse and from the townhouse to an apartment. I loved having very little. I just keep rotating stuff out. It makes me keep refocusing on the important things. Damn annoying.

  6. Since I've gotten into mixed media I am worse about not throwing things away. "I could use that!" I do acutally use a lot of it, but it is running me out of my studio. De-cluter time for me after the holidays!!!!!

  7. But..but..but...but think about all the things that at one time gave you joy that you'll be donating to the thrift stores so that others may receive enjoyment as well.
