If You Lived Here

Well, friends we begin a new journey.

Like Alice or Dorothy I feel like I'm starting down a new path. Hopefully, the next 1000 posts will be full of adventures, story telling, creations and whatnot.

My Sketchbook arrived in the mail today, for the Sketchbook Project Tour 2011. Once I complete my sketchbook and mail it in to the Brooklyn Art Library it will go on tour with hundreds of other sketchbooks and then reside in the library. I think that's kinda cool.

My theme is If You Lived Here.......... which I think gives me a lot of wiggle room for art and photography. It's the small moleskin with a red cover.

The picture of the giant nest is going in my new sketchbook. I'm not sure what I will do with it. I was thinking of filling it with something interesting, the nest, that is.

I have a dear friend of many, many years coming to stay with me this week. We plan to relax by the pool with our wine, spend time in the studio, creating, she's a wonderful artist and do some back road adventure traveling.

Elizabeth over at Last Door Down the Hall blog fell and shattered her hip. Let's all go over there and wish her some good healing thoughts. She's a marvelous artist and I'm sure this has been a painful time for her.

Judith at Quilt or Dye won the Art Cloth book. She did NOT win it because she posted Bribes For RILEY on her blog, although they are funny so you might want to pop over to her blog to just say hello.

Actually, I love all the blogs that I visit so if you are looking for new interesting blogs take a gander at the ones posted on my blog.

I'm off to have a chat with my Mum then over to the studio. It's going to be another hot humid day today. The studio is the place to be.

:)Bea Let your soul out to dance, go create.

  1. Have a wonderful week with your friend, it sounds heavenly! Congratulations to Judith for winning Art Cloth, I'm only mildly jealous but at least you don't have to pay postage to the UK if I'd won ;o)

  5. I like the wine bit. The only way to overcome a hot and humid day is to get tipsy with good company - some cold beer would do the trick, too.
