It did rain and rain and rain......

A thin band of strong thunderstorms made it's way across Wisconsin yesterday and into the evening. The storms made their way directly over our house. With the hot weather we have been experiencing this really was a welcome relief, except where the 8" that fell caused problems with flooding.
This morning on my way to the grocery store I saw the Ladies having a wade after milking.
I stopped the car, backed up and took this picture. Then I just giggled all the way to the market.

  1. The ladies look like they are enjoying their 'swim'! LOL I wouldn't mind a thunderstorm right now...today and through the weekend, the heat index is 105 here. Whew - as Southern girls say - glistening weather! LOL

  2. I found your blog and am so happy I did. I recently moved to WI and we also got those rains. My garden is sooo wet. Not as wet as the pool the girls found, but still...
I also enjoyed the story about your jumper. Our mothers may have been cut from the same cloth.

  5. What a great photo that is. I bet they love their feet being all cool after the heat. We have had mild weather with rain and 2 days of dry cloudy weather. I hate the hot hot heat.
