A day with Riley.

Donna asked for a close up of the prayer flag. Actually, I have been thinking of it as more of an inspirational flag.
I'm taking care of Riley today. Apparently, a lot of at home day care providers were taking the day off for a long weekend, I know because Riley and I went to MickyD's and the grandmothers and babies were there. We all agreed that what happens on Grandma's watch stays with Grandma.
Riley polished off a pancake, half of the scrambled eggs, half of my sausage and guzzled down my orange juice. She's a good eater.
Our next errand took us to the Farm and Fleet store. Riley seemed pretty excited about riding in the cart. To my knowledge she hasn't been in a big farm store like this before. We looked at horse blankets and buckets, boy are they colorful. We looked at lawn tractors and grills. We looked at dog toys and found a cool stuffed horse. We agreed that it could be for little girls or dogs.
I actually made it to the beginning of my driveway when she fell asleep. I carried her inside and put her in her crib. Boy does that take me back a few years to doing that with my kids.
Gotta love those morning naps. Not as long as the afternoon ones but still a little break for the old people.
She helped me fold laundry after she woke up, we read books, played with her toys, had lunch and now she is back down again for her afternoon nap.
After I finish here I plan to catch a quick little snooze myself. I think we'll take a walk in the back yard after nap time.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. My oldest son and family are arriving tonight and staying until Tuesday. Middle son and wife are taking their new little baby home from the hospital today. How exciting for them.
Murphy has no idea what's in store for him when Penny arrives. I hope to get lots of pictures to share.

:)Bea Have a wonderful holiday weekend and try to do some creating!

  1. Dear Bea,
I haven't visited you for so long, and I feel like I'm home. Your postings are like conversations even though you can't hear me agree with you or eeek about the snakes!
Riley is absolutely beautiful and she has a sparklie look that you like in the flags! She may be your outside girl.
I'm off to relax while I catch up on your postings.
    Happy days,
    Joanie
