APRIL Snow Day

This is what we woke up to this morning. Sad, drooping daffodils and SNOW! And, there are still flakes coming down. BUT, tomorrow it will be back up to 60 something so not to fuss.
I was loading my photos into the computer when this fox ran across the yard. I snatched up the camera to grab a quick picture of him. Looks like he's got breakfast for the kits!

I've been working on a number of different projects. That's one of the things I LOVE about having everything I love to do, in one place, the STUDIO! When I get frustrated or tired of working on something, I move over to another medium and work on that. This is an acrylic collage painting that I am working on, just for fun. I wanted to try adding bits of strips of muslin, paper and modeling paste to add texture to the canvas.

It's called Portal One. Although, a number of other titles came to mind after I added the sheep.

I've also been working on our next challenge project so I would have some photos to show. I'm pleased with how that is going along and I think that we are going to have some fun with this next challenge. I'm working in fiber right now but honestly I think if you like to work in another medium you will enjoy following along with us and sharing what you are doing.

I'm off to the studio. It's a good place to be with these dark gray skies and snowflakes falling, in April. sigh.........

  1. Texture is synchronicity today...check Manon Doyle...she is amazing painter who has a video on adding different textures to your works. I am watching a mindless show and trying to finish my Crow Moon embellishments. I went to Hobby Lobby today and found a few auditions to think about. It is cold here also but no snow...just gentle cold April showers. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  2. Oh no - snow! But as I read from the next post, it's only in your street!! lol. I'm sure you'll be bathed in sunshine again soon. I love that porthole experiment and can't wait for our next challenge after the Rabbit Hole has been filled in. xxx
