Reporting in from Tampa

Hi gang!
What's really frustrating is that I have a ton, TON, of pictures I've loaded on this laptop and darned if I can find a way to get them to my documents folder. Can't even find My Pictures on this thing. It's not my laptop so I'm easily frustrated. I really wanted to post a picture with this post, much more interesting but I guess it will have to wait until I get home on Saturday.
The weather has been interesting, cool, damp and rainy until yesterday when the sun came out.
Today, it was lovely but the clouds are moving in and tomorrow they are talking about rain.
Not quite as warm as I expected it to be. Nobody is in the pools and they are heated, too.
My mother seems to be doing much better with the medications. Her remaining lung is not in great shape and I don't know how many more bouts of this kind she can take. She does look quite exhausted but is so much happier that the doctor has let her stay in her room instead of sending her to the hospital.
I've brought my painting supplies down here with me and hope that tomorrow I'll be able to spend some time working with them.
I've been doing a lot of walking around and taking a ton of pictures. Almost stepped on the tail of a small alligator today. I was busy looking and taking pictures of birds on the water. I didn't see him on the edge of the pond until the last minute. Zeus said I did a marvelous walk/run backwards across the golf green. I thought for sure I got a picture of him but I can't seem to find it on the group that I just downloaded. Well, that's a shame.
I miss you all.

:)Bea Who knows you ALL are creating up a storm while I'm away!

  1. so glad your mom is doing well, but watch out for those alligators! My mom is in Sarasota and I always hope for the warm weather when I am down there, especially in the winter.
enjoy whatever warmth you can get!

  2. I am so happy to hear from you and walking can be a form of meditative prayer when your heart is heavy. Gator watch! you are in their territory now. I will continue praying for your mother. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  3. Glad things are stabilized in Tampa. Technology can drive you nuts.

    Best wishes to your mum.

    Poor little alligator.

  4. I'm glad your mom is doing better. It is special that you can be with her. She sounds like a wonderful person and her picture is lovely.
Yes, I'll be sending up some prayers of healing for her and some for you as well.

  5. Dear Bea...stay in Tampa because the snow floodgates have opened and may not be completely closed until Saturday evening. Yikes! Prayers are still flying down on all of you. Stay on the gator watch though...they think they own the road and even a small one can give a pretty good bite on a foot or calf. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  6. Just got back from my little trip and trying to catch up on reading new posts. Glad to hear your mother is better. My mother had part of one lung removed...cancer.
    Anyway, watch those alligators!
