First Week- Well Done.
It's the end of the week and I feel pretty good. I've met my two goals I set for myself at the beginning of the week. I've been a week without diet soda. Still got my nails. Still weigh the same. I got out and took some photographs that pleased ME. Yup, yup, yup good week.
I'm making meatloaf to night. Does that sound 1950sh to you? It's actually one of my families favorites.
The recipe is rather boring and straight from your basic cookbook but over the years the name has become Connie W. meatloaf. Connie, a perky blond was the wife of a fellow law student. We were all part of some sort of dinner group. Somebody assigned us a recipe, we made it and brought it to some body's small cramped apartment and sat around card tables eating it.
I can't remember the details, I'm sure Zeus does but I'm not about to ask him but it seems that either Connie planted a kiss on Zeus at a New Year's Eve party or he said he loved her meatloaf and she planted one then.
All I know I was watching and Zeus knew I was watching and if we had the hand expressions that the kids use now, of pointing to my eyes and then to his eyes, I would have been doing that.
Zeus will point out that he was kissed not the other way around.
Hera will point out that calling her meatloaf, Connie's every time it shows up on the table, isn't a good idea.
Anyway, the house smells good.
I'm going to stick with this goal setting on Sunday's. It seems to keep me focused on what things I want to do, in the studio. Actually, having everything at hand has really helped. I am no longer wandering around wondering what I did with something, hid it or driving off to the store to buy another thing. I consider that all a good thing.
