Rain, rain go away, I need a sunny day.

The packages are mailed. Thank you all for playing. I wish I had packages for everybody. :)
It's raining here again and the weather people gleefully talk about "Hard Freezes" next week. As much as I love the change of seasons and the fall colors I'm just not ready for cold weather. So, to cheer up my mood I went up to the new studio space and took in the YELLOW WALLS!!!!!!!
Yes, Raoul came with his crew and painted the entire studio with YELLOW BRICK ROAD paint. OMG, it's yellow, folks.
When I first went out there I didn't think he had painted it yet. He's very quick and good. I went up the first flight of steps, turned on the landing and OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo I just started smiling. It made me so happy!
The white was nice. BUT THIS..........at night, when John was out there working on something there was this yellow glow coming from the room.
It made me want to throw on a raincoat and troop out there again.

Seth, The Altered Page, has a wonderful short, very short video posted for today. For those of you that love old, weathered, paper worn, graffiti walls, will enjoy the one minute little video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX9SVg6L5vA&feature=player_embedded

I will post a picture of the new yellow Dog In The Hole Studio as soon as the sun comes out and Raoul moves the ladders and stuff. There is discussion about the laying down of tile going on. If the tile guy doesn't get back to John or can't do it by this weekend I suspect that John, who loves to tile, will start in on it.

I stopped by JoAnn fabrics this morning with my 40% off coupon clutched in my hands. I bought some more laces that were on the discount shelves. They are really beautiful and they keep marking them down in price.
The Christmas ribbons were all on sale so I picked up some that I can use in my journals and fabric books. Used my coupon for a bolt of Heat and Bond, light. With all the fusing I plan on doing this will get used up in no time.
In the middle of their flyer, hidden was a coupon for 50% off that starts Oct 9th. I plan to use that one for a package of new large rotary blades. Those things are expensive, the coupon really helps. I think there are coupons like this on line too, if you are interested.
Keep creating it's good for your soul. :)Bea

  5. I think the sun is supposed to actually come out tomorrow afternoon, Linda. I'll take some pictures then. The tile guy just called and he can do it this weekend and then grout it next weekend. He has to drive up from Milwaukee and he has a regular day job. sigh, the wait, the wait. :)Bea

  8. Seth, if it makes ME SMILE, I post it. It's like buying greeting cards, if I laugh out loud I buy it. My theory being when I'm really sick I will need somebody to hand me those cards so I can laugh. Laughter cures a lot of things. :)Bea

  9. Oh Bea, where have I been? Why haven't you asked me that question? I haven't visited since the post about Trudi and that's just awful. Bad bad Gina, no biscuit. I will do my penance and read all of your delicate pearls of wisdom, starting now. This minute. I'm doing it....
