OOOooh present from Trudi Sissons

Wonderful envelope isn't it? I love to see arted envelopes.

This was an initial draft of a collage that she was working on and THANK HEAVENS she decided to make a postcard of it to send to me, instead of "trashing it". It always amazes me when I hear a fellow artist unhappy with their artwork and I look at it and say," WOWOWOWOWSER, can I have it?"

This is the BACK of a fantastic ATC holder.

This is the front of the ATC holder. The picture I took of the actual ATC didn't come out but that dark area to the left of her head is a pocket and the ATC slips into that. I LOVE IT.

Ages ago when I was part of Bernie Berlin's, ArtistTradingcard Yahoo group I used to host a ton and I mean a ton of swaps. Back then people seldom made any holder for their cards. I had a bag of plastic inserts from Baseball cards that I would use to put the traded cards in and mail them back to people.

I love how ATCs have moved in this direction of beautifully arted holders.

It just makes the ATC a little bit more special, if possible.

What a wonderful package to get in the mail. You outdid yourself Trudi.

  2. Oh my goodness Bea. I feel so humbled now at my boring ATC holders (usually recycled from others) and envelopes. Must do better. She is one amazing person. How can that postcard not be a work of art in its own right? I am off to check out her site now. My sister's name is Trudi.

  3. Hi Bea,
The previous person above visited my blog and left comments mentioning she had come from your site. I thought, hmmm...I wonder if Bea... and you did.

You make me blush and I feel a little embarrassed...but how thoughtful of you to compose this.

It was kind of a 'anything goes' thing... I'm glad you like.

AND, your postcard is stunning - I could never put something together like that. I hope you rec'd my email?
