Murphy, this weekend, clearing of the garage studio and not a lot more.

Murphy has an eye infection. The poor lad needed to see the vet. this morning. He got a shot of pain killer because his cheek is swollen and painful to the touch. No teeth problems, no scratch on the lens, so we don't really know how this came about. He just wants to stay in dark places and curl up and sleep.
I'm stocking the refrigerator with some meals for John and Mary. I'm off on Friday morning to spend some time with my long time friend Donna. We plan to do GIRL STUFF until Sunday.
I'm staying with her at her place and just going to have some fun.
I probably won't be able to do any posting so try to remember to pop back in Sunday night and see what's new.

I also wanted to shout out at my new friends that have become Followers. Thank you, that is ever so nice of you. And, a thank you to those of your that lurk. I know how shy you are. It's ok, just keep on stopping in for a visit, ok?

We had a rainy morning and then the sun came out and the temperature rose to 70 degrees! It was just lovely. Of course, I'm still working in the garage, putting things in boxes to take over to the studio next week. My goal is to leave a nice space in the garage for a car.

I got new glasses today. It's about time. I had my doctor's appointment last January. I know, I know, but picking out new frames and getting new glasses is not high on my list, although, it's nice to see things a little sharper now. I have my old pair as back up in case I need them.

Riley has started on regular food now. Last night was the rice cereal which wasn't a big hit. Of course, the whole idea of actually putting something besides a bottle in her mouth is strange.
Tonight, she had applesauce which kinda went over better. At least she is trying to move it around in her mouth.

I am finding all sorts of unfinished projects as I clear out the garage studio. Since I am on a self imposed deadline I am not finding it difficult to dispose of some of them. Some have been dropped in a box to be cut up or painted over. As I move down through the layers I can see my early attempts at something and know that I have moved on and can let go of it.

I refuse to feel guilty for not finishing a project. There was a reason I started the project, some reason I needed to express what I did express and then I was able to move on. It's all part of the journey.

Remember to try to do something creative every day. And, don't forget those RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. :)Bea

  1. LOL Well Bea would you believe I woke myself up laughing (and my DH) because I was dreaming about the story you told me yesterday. The one that got my funny bone when you got th wrong dog and the "Who the hell are you" thing! Lol I still laugh about it. I told my friends and they laughed too. Such a cute story Bea. I hope you have a good weekend with your friend Donna as I love girls weekends. Take care.

  2. Well, Yvonne, I love to have people wake up with a smile but I don't want your hubby cursing me and my stories! lolololsnort Keep it down, woman. Thanks for the good wishes. It's been a long time since we have spent some time together. She always does something special for me on my birthday and this one she is calling my Birthday Weekend. My birthday's on Monday. :)Bea

  3. Hi Bea! I wanted to thank you for always commenting on my blog but can't find an email address so I'm thanking you here! Have a wonderful day, and thank you!

  4. You are most welcome. Your blog is one of my regular visits while I enjoy my coffee, in the morning. :)Bea

  5. Poor Murphy, I hope his eye is better now. Buster had an eye infection a little while ago but it cleared up on its own.

How busy you have been sorting and clearing. I have all that to come and I will try and be ruthless. Today I discovered a knitting project I knew I would never finish so I threw it in the bin. Hoorah! It felt good. I know you've had a brilliant time with your friend. I'm so glad, what a wonderful thing to do.

    Love you
