I admit I'm getting a little whiny about the weather. I'm impatient, I admit it. I want to see my spring flowers start to bloom. Heck, in some places I want to see some buds or leaves. I cleared out the bed by the studio and I have daffodils up but mostly leaves and the buds are tightly closed.
The birds are chasing each other, checking out nesting sites and boxes and still it just won't get above 53 around here.
Rain is coming which should speed things up. A good thunder storm should green up our grass too.
We did our prairie burn this weekend. It's a controlled burn and now the prairie patches looks like gorgeous black dirt, from a distance and not blackened debris. A good rain and that will green up immediately.
So, even though I whine I know that Spring is very, very close.
I finished the fourth children's quilt top, this weekend. I'm trying to do one a month. That's four tops, plus Mary's baby quilt to quilt now. I really have to get busy and do the not so fun part. I wish my long arm quilting buddy lived down the street. I would trot down to her house with these. sigh........
She is miles and miles away from me in New York. I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and do these.
