It's Thursday and I've been enjoying the Florida sunshine for two days so I don't mind that today is overcast. The pool was still 82 degrees and I still did my laps and then sat at a nice table and collaged and painted all morning. It's very quiet here. I see people out on the golf courses and when the sun is out there are people at the different pools but it seems like there are less visitors than before.
BTW, here's something interesting, the vultures seem to spend their winters in Florida or at least warmer climates. There is a flock of them hanging around the resort. I counted about 12 of them sitting up in the tops of the bare trees. Either they are on vacation, too or they know something that I don't know.
There are a lot of different kinds of birds around here. Mostly water fowl. They make some of the strangest noises. When you hear them you KNOW you aren't in Kansas or Wisconsin.
I've gotten four collages done since I've gotten here. It's soooooooooo wonderful to pull out the beautiful paper and glue and paints and just play.
I rode around with John yesterday while he played a round of golf. I got a lot of interesting pictures. He's very patient with me when I ask him to circle around and check out something.
If the golf course had been busy that would have been difficult but we were the last ones out to play.
Murphy had his first swim lesson yesterday, I wonder how that went?
Ok, I'm off to take the nature walk. When I was here last time in June the swamp area was dry. Now, there is some water in there. Hope I get some good photos. See you later duckies.
