I know I mentioned, the other day, if things were tight that you could order DVDs of techniques.
I thought I would also include the websites of two wonderful places that are near me that have fantastic workshops and teachers.
The first is http://www.whispering-woodlands.com/ a very close to me art retreat.
The second is http://www.valleyridgeartstudio.com/default.asp again a wonderful art retreat here in the southwestern part of Wisconsin.
I've taken some workshops from Valley Ridge and they were wonderful. I've been out to visit Whispering Woodlands and it's a beautiful spot for an art workshop.
The pressure is being applied to John to finish the barn studio. I'm not the one applying the pressure but I'm glad it's happening. It's been a long wait.
My daughter's boyfriend is a dry waller always looking for extra jobs. The studio is all "staged" for the finishing of putting up the dry wall. John built an extensive platform so it would be easy to haul the dry wall up and get it up to the cathedral ceilings.
So, it looks like he might be getting some work when we get back from our trip to Florida.
All the more reason for me to use the last of winter to get the fabric studio organized and get down to my art supplies in the "garage studio". It will be nice to have everything in one place.
It will be fun to finally have a place where my art/fabric buddies can come and "PLAY".
