I'm getting excited about working with clay again. Here are some links I found in my favorites file about polymer clay. http://www.jaedworks.com/clayspot/polyclay-faq/finishing.html This link has a TON of information on it and if I am not mistaken a segment about using floor polish to stain your clay. This link:http://www.dotcalmvillage.net/cre8it/polyglaze.html has glazes that are softer and lighter in color. And when is doubt good old Stampington has lots of information:
I hope that helps.
When I took that sculpture workshop I made some clay faces with air dry clay. First time I had ever used it. I know I bought it at Michael's Craft store. It was great to work with and the little faces came out great. That was a mold that I bought at Michael's too. I used the face for my Storyteller sculpture. I would love to make more for goddess dolls.
Sigh...........but I just add those thoughts to my TO DO list because until I get this studio under control I'm not taking on any more projects.
That said, I am going on a short vacation down to Florida to visit my 83 year old mother and then sit in the sun, by a heated pool and soak up as much Vit. D as I can while my husband does the golf thing.
I am taking down my art journal book that I bought for the new year and haven't done a thing in it. I'm taking some supplies down with me and I plan to sit by that heated pool and do some artwork in my journal.
