I was very fortunate to be asked by my local library to teach an adult art workshop. Ten people came out on a cold winter night and for an hour and a half we had so much fun playing with paints. They dyed paper towels and used them to print on different types of paper. They made glazes from acrylic paints and painted on their paper. Some stamped, some used stencils and apparently 10 little inner children got to have a lot of fun. I know I certainly did.
We are planning to have a repeat of this workshop in the spring with an additional workshop for putting our pages together into a homemade book.
I forgot how much I enjoy teaching. I always get nervous before a workshop, even with the teens. Once the workshop is under way and I see how much fun people are having I relax and enjoy myself, too.
