I've had my granddaughter, Hayden with me all week! Here she is showing off the three pillowcases that she made. She loves to sew.
All week long I have watched how she absorbs everything like a sponge. She saw her first Shakespear play, at night, outside and sat on the edge of her seat taking in everything.
She went into Cave of the Mounds with me and took pictures with her camera of all the beautiful rock formations, in the cave.
The best thing has been the riding lessons she took at a local stable near our house. She loves horses and I thought that it might just be the little girl thing of loving the idea of horses.
It's the real thing, folks. By her second lesson, English style, she was posting and trotting and looking like a pro up in the saddle. Her third and last lesson, for this time she got to canter and she really loved that. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the smile as she zoomed by me in the ring.
She enters third grade on Tuesday. What a wonderful age.
I haven't had a great deal of time to work on other projects this week. I am barely keeping up with the laundry!
Next week I hope to tackle the mess in the garage studio. I have so many things I want to experiment with and right now I can't even see my work table it's such a mess.
