Flooded fields

The first picture on the left is not a picture of a real pond. That's just a result of the thunderstorms yesterday, last night and today. And, as you can see the geese just love it. The picture on the right is typical of a lot of fields in southwestern Wisconsin. The farmers may plow and seed their fields but the original old creek beds always seem to show up when there is too much water around. This is the field from Gray Goose's farm. Later in spring this ribbon outline of the original creek will turn bright yellow with wild flowers that seem to grow only in that ribbon of soil. I hope I have my camera with me with that happens. It's such a beautiful sight.
