I was folding laundry and staring out the windows when I saw this red blur running across the far field. I grabbed my camera and managed it get a quick couple of shots of this red fox making his or her way across the yard and into the woods. About 15 minutes later when I was sitting in the studio I saw the fox coming back through the upper woods by and cutting back down through the yard and back across the snowy corn field. I always get a kick out of seeing the wildlife out here. The other day I heard an unusual honking, of course I couldn't find my camera, but I did dash outside to see a v of Sand Hill Cranes coming low across the yard. I counted 11 in the V and two very high up in the sky and it seemed like all of them were communicating with each other. I could see their beautiful white wings and black tipped edges and their long legs sticking out behind them. It was a beautiful sight and sound and one I won't forget for a long time.
